Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before booking a trip with us.

Last updated: August 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website at deeescape.com, making a booking inquiry, or participating in any DeeEscape trip, you ("the traveler") confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are booking on behalf of a group, you accept these terms on behalf of all members in the group.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of your booking confirmation governs your trip. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Booking & Reservations

All bookings are initiated through WhatsApp at +91 8707736072 or via our website inquiry form. A booking is considered confirmed only after the following conditions are met:

  • You have received a written confirmation from DeeEscape (via WhatsApp or email)
  • A deposit payment has been received and acknowledged
  • You have provided any required participant details (name, ID, emergency contact)

Verbal conversations or provisional interest do not constitute a confirmed booking. Spots are limited and are not held without a deposit.

3. Payment Terms

We accept payments via UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm) and direct bank transfer. We do not accept credit or debit card payments online, and no card details should ever be shared with us.

  • Deposit: Typically 30–40% of the total trip cost is required at the time of booking to confirm your spot. The exact amount will be communicated during the booking process.
  • Balance: The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 7 days before the trip departure date, unless otherwise specified in writing.
  • Late payment: Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking, and applicable cancellation charges will apply.

All prices quoted are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of the items listed under each trip's "What's Included" section. Prices are subject to change until a booking is confirmed with a deposit.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is based on the number of days prior to the trip departure date on which we receive your written cancellation notice (via WhatsApp or email).

Days Before Departure Refund Amount
30 days or more 75% refund
15 – 29 days 50% refund
7 – 14 days 25% refund
Less than 7 days No refund

Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 7–10 working days to the original payment method.

Cancellation by DeeEscape: In the unlikely event that we cancel a trip for any reason (weather, insufficient group size, safety concerns, or force majeure), you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid, or the option to transfer to a future trip of equal value.

5. Traveler Responsibilities

By booking a DeeEscape trip, you agree to the following responsibilities:

  • Valid identification: You must carry a government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, passport, driving licence) for all trips. Trips involving flights or border crossings may require a passport.
  • Medical fitness: You confirm that you are in good health and physically fit for the activities described in your chosen trip. You agree to inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions before the trip.
  • Follow guide instructions: You agree to follow the safety instructions of your DeeEscape trip leader and any local guides at all times. Failure to comply may result in removal from the trip without a refund.
  • Respect for communities: You agree to treat local communities, cultures, and environments with respect, following Leave No Trace principles and local customs.
  • Personal belongings: You are responsible for the safety of your own belongings throughout the trip. DeeEscape is not liable for any loss or theft of personal property.

6. Itinerary Changes

DeeEscape reserves the right to modify or substitute any part of the planned itinerary without prior notice if, in the sole judgment of our trip leader or management, it is necessary to do so for the safety, comfort, or well-being of travelers. Reasons may include:

  • Adverse or unpredictable weather conditions
  • Road closures, landslides, or natural disasters
  • Force majeure events (strikes, political unrest, government directives)
  • Safety concerns identified on-ground

In such cases, we will make every effort to provide a comparable alternative. No refunds or compensation are provided for itinerary modifications caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

7. Liability

DeeEscape acts as a trip organiser and is not a licensed transport operator, hotel, or airline. Accordingly, to the maximum extent permitted by law, DeeEscape shall not be liable for:

  • Personal injury, illness, death, or disability arising from participation in the trip
  • Loss or damage to baggage or personal belongings
  • Delays, cancellations, or disruptions by third-party transport providers
  • Any loss or expense caused by circumstances beyond our control (force majeure)

Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all DeeEscape travelers. We advise purchasing a comprehensive policy that covers trip cancellation, medical evacuation, personal accident, and baggage loss. We can suggest reputable providers upon request.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with a booking or these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uttarakhand, India.

DeeEscape encourages amicable resolution of disputes and will make every reasonable effort to resolve any concerns before resorting to formal legal proceedings.
